St. John's Episcopal Church

About St. John's

Mission
The Mission of St. John’s Episcopal Church is to glorify God by growing in Christ’s love and sharing that love with others through worship, fellowship, and service.

Worship Services
Currently, we have an 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. service on Sunday and a Wednesday morning service at 10:00 a.m. Approximately 40 people attend our Sunday services.

Leadership
We are currently searching for a rector for our faith community.   The Rev. Robert Duerr is our interim priest, and our deacon is The Rev. Deacon Vickie Suitor. Our clergy work closely with our lay leaders, including our wardens Mary Wieland and Karran Swayze in keeping St. John's ministry vibrant, alive and centered around our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Christian Education

Our young people are offered opportunities for spiritual growth through parish and diocesan activities such as youth group meetings, camps, conferences, retreats and other programming. We also have adult bible studies and classes for those preparing for the sacraments of baptism and marriage.

Ministries
Our members are involved in local, national and international outreach ministries, including

  • Partnership For Mission and Outreach, the official outreach arm of the Episcopal Diocese of Western New York
  • Canaan House - serving women throughout WNY
  • Food Pantry of the The Ransomville Free Methodist Church
  • United Thank Offering
  • Episcopal Relief and Development

Structure
We are part of the Episcopal Diocese of Western New York led by The Rt. Rev. R. William Franklin., Bishop.
